Mental Health Assessments
Assessments help determine areas of strengths and difficulties in order to help connect children with appropriate services. Children who have experienced abuse or trauma are at an increased risk for developing emotional and behavioral difficulties. The mental health assessment includes an evaluation of common trauma experiences and post-traumatic stress symptoms. The results are used to help guide recommendations for the child and family. Mental health assessments are provided at no cost to the child or family. Every child seen for a forensic interview at the Morgan County CAC is offered a mental health assessment.
